Supporting the United Way of Tompkins County

Campaign Leadership

The United Way of Tompkins County (UWTC) is an independent, non-profit corporation incorporated and governed by its local board of directors and all community volunteers. The UWTC is committed to making positive changes in our community, addressing identified needs, and finding solutions that will positively impact people. The Cornell community plays a substantial role in helping dozens of local nonprofits that assist our friends, neighbors, and families in any given year. Cornell faculty, staff members, students, and retirees are generous supporters, providing almost 40% of the United Way’s annual funding.

Cornell United Way is supported by a planning group, campus volunteers, and the Cornell student campaign.
